President
	Chan, Kathy JMA Ventures LLC & Homewood		kchan@jmaventuresllc.com
	Kathy has served as Vice President of San Francisco based JMA Ventures, LLC for 5 years. Her responsibilities include HR leadership for Homewood Mountain Resort near Lake Tahoe and Red Lodge Mountain Resort in Montana as well as Real Estate holdings in San Francisco and around the Bay Area. Before joining JMA, Kathy was the Regional Human Resources Director for Powdr Corporation and Regional Human Resources Coordinator for Northern California Whole Foods Market for 7 years. Ms. Chan has presented numerous HR related topics, and has worked as a strategic partner in formulating business plans for the various properties .She volunteers at her community elementary school. Kathy is a certified Senior Human Resources Professional accredited by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

	Laura is President of Tahoe Training Partners, a human resources and management training solutions consulting firm located near Lake Tahoe, California. Laura has held senior management positions in the hotel, resort and gaming industries, most recently in a ten-year assignment as Corporate VP of Human Resources for Booth Creek Resorts. With an extensive background in learning management and knowledge transfer, including certification as a Covey Leadership Center facilitator, Laura has been the architect of innovative training environments at several organizations, including the resort/hotels within the Harvey’s Hotel Casino portfolio (now Harrah’s Entertainment Inc.). Laura is a certified Senior Human Resources Professional accredited by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

	Lynda is currently an Independent Human Resources professional. She was the Human Resource Manager at Great Outdoor Clothing Company based out of Incline Village, Nevada, before going independent. Originally from San Diego, Lynda served on the Advisory Board for the EDD and was the Human Resource Manager at Kettenburg Marine Corporation. She holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.

Secretary of the Board
	McKenzie, Joanna Sugar Bowl		jmckenzie@sugarbowl.com
	Joanna is a Human Resources Manager at Sugar Bowl in Norden, Ca. Prior to Sugar Bowl, Joanna worked in Squaw Valley for 8 years where she gained experience at the Resort at Squaw Creek as an operations manager in Food and Beverage, Recreation, and Ski Rentals. Squaw Creek also opened another door for Joanna and allowed her the opportunity to work in Human Resources, join SHRA and get involved in international orientations. Ms. McKenzie is excited to bring her operations and Human Resources skills to the Sierra Human Resources Association.

Director of Diversity/Workforce Readiness

	Bridjet is the Director of Human Resources for Marriott Vacation Club International in South Lake Tahoe, California. In addition, she oversees human resources for operations and sales and marketing disciplines for the 775 key resorts, including Marriott Timber Lodge, Grand Residents Club and Ritz Carlton Club at Northstar at Tahoe Resort near Lake Tahoe. Bridjet is excited about her new position with SHRA and passionate about helping local youth prepare for potential career moves and job force readiness. Bridjet is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

SHRA Governmental Liaison

	Michele is the Director of Human Resources for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and has worked in both for profit and not-for- profit organizations. Michele has been a member of SHRM for more than 10 years and was previously a board member for the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association. Michele commented, “I appreciate all the benefits of being a SHRM member and want to help others benefit from the terrific resources that SHRM has to offer.” Michele is a certified Senior Human Resources Professional accredited by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

	Hawley, Charlotte J. One-Stop Business & Career Center		chawley@ncen.org
	Charlotte is the Employment Services Director for the Truckee One-Stop Business & Career Center. Born and raised in California, Charlotte J. Hawley is a graduate of Simpson University and has a B.A. in Human Resources Management with minors in Education and Business Administration. Charlotte has worked in the fields of Human Resources, Health Education and Public Relations. She is committed to serving those in her community with a passion for helping others get what they want in their academic, professional and personal lives. Charlotte’s strong belief in the potential of the individual motivates her to become a leader in coaching and mentoring others. Charlotte spends much of her free time outdoors snowboarding, golfing and spending time with her family and friends.

	Christine is the Staffing Specialist for the Grass Valley One-Stop Business & Career Center. A native of the Grass Valley/Nevada City area, Christine graduated from California State University, Chico, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management. With an employment background in Workers’ Compensation, small business administration and human resources, Christine offers a well-rounded perspective. She’s thrilled to be a part of the Sierra Human Resources Association and the opportunity to bring a SHRM chapter to the Sierra Nevada Foothills region.
